Overview
Footy Insight watches a football match the way an analyst does, and finishes before the analyst has opened the file. Match video is ingested, players and the ball are tracked frame by frame, events are classified and time-stamped, and the system assembles both a statistical picture of the game and a cut highlight package ready to publish.
The problem
Clubs, federations and broadcasters below the elite tier have the same appetite for match analysis as the top flight and none of the budget. Tagging a single match by hand takes an analyst the better part of a day, so most footage is recorded, filed and never watched again.
Our approach
A vision pipeline handles detection, tracking and event classification directly from the match feed, with a language layer generating written match summaries and commentary-ready notes. Editorial control stays with the user: every automatically detected event can be confirmed, adjusted or discarded before a highlight package is published.
